Lewis and Clark Humane Society executive director announces retirement

after 20 years of service to Lewis & Clark Humane Society executive director Gina Wiest is retiring since becoming the director back in 1998 we stoped develop the statewide spay neuter program spay Montana the number of stray animals brought into the shelter has been more has been reduced by more than half since then we stall so organized the sheltering and eventual adoption efforts for 160 Malamutes seized in a 2012 animal cruelty case she says her time at the shelter hasn’t always been easy but she couldn’t imagine her life without it it literally has changed my life and how I and how I view people the good in people and the animals that need our help so much.we says the shelter’s work wouldn’t have been possible without her staff in the community support her last official day is January 31st but she plans on staying involved with the shelter
