WHY LFCC? – Why Students Should Choose Lord Fairfax Community College

♪ [music] ♪ – [Cheryl] I’ve had some great experiences
at a lot of community colleges, and also a university, but LFCC really is special.
And I know I’m a little bit biased when I say that, but I truly feel
that it is special. – [Woman 1] My boyfriend actually went
here, he dual enrolled in high school, so he helped me pick all the professors.
The ones that were nice and everything. And so far, all of them are really funny
and really nice. I’m like, “Yes, this is so much better than high school.” – [Man 1] Here, people actually want to
study and want to do good. So, it’s cool being able to walk around
and know I can ask really anybody to help, and they’ll help. – [Woman 2] It’s a great way to meet new
people, and you get to see what you have in common with other people, and you can
make some great friends doing activities. – [Woman 3] For me, it was probably just
seeing all of the new students and all of the opportunities. I’ve made so many
friends here at LFCC in the first year, I can only imagine the relationships
I’ll build, the experiences I’ll have in second semester. – [Man 2] It’s genuine support. It’s not
just something, a facade or anything like that. They really do care about how well
you’re doing, how well you’re doing in your class. And, if there’s anything you
need, they’re very forthcoming, they want to know, how can we help. It’s a really
how can you help attitude. – [Woman 4] It’s a great environment,
great transition between high school and a university.
It just makes more sense. – [Woman 5] It’s a cheaper option.
It’s a lot more helpful. I’ve seen they have a lot of extra
advisers helping you, that want to help you progress
and give you all the information you need. – [Man 3] I like the feel of the campus
and all the students, getting to meet new people. – [Woman 6] I thought it was really funny,
because going from high school to college is a really scary step. But as soon as
you walk into Lord Fairfax, everybody’s so welcoming
and everybody’s smiling. It makes you feel really comfortable
from the beginning. – [Woman 7] Moving forward, I’m most
excited about becoming a nurse. And I am already just three weeks in,
feel like I’m on the right path to being prepared. – [Woman 8] It’s wonderful, it’s the best
decision I’ve ever made. I’ve met so many wonderful people here. I’ve learned
so many things about myself and about what I want in life.
And I would not go back and change it for anything, and I mean that
from the bottom of my heart. I love it here. ♪ [music] ♪
